Study in Australia ✈️

Applying to Australian universities is easy, despite the fact that it will require some time and careful planning.  You can always ask for help from the university you are applying to and education agents like us.

Here are some steps you can take if you are ready to put in your application:

1. Choose Your Course and University

Carefully research courses, universities and their locations. Consider the areas of specialization offered through various courses and which specializations will best suit your intended career path.

When you have chosen your desired course, you need to know which university offers it and their entry requirements. You should also consider if the university has good support services for international students.

Study in Australia? We can successfully place you into your choice program

Australia has websites with all the data you need to know about studying there.  When you have chosen your desired course and university, the time has come to apply. Go to the Enquire Now page of the university to send an enquiry directly.

Before you apply, you should check the academic and English language entry requirement to ensure you are qualified. If you don’t meet the requirements, you may have to apply for a different course or apply for a foundational course, which may increase your odds.

International students can apply directly to Australian universities, either by post or online. You can download application forms from universities’ websites or request the forms to be posted. Another alternative is to contact education agents to help you. Your application form will ask you which course(s) you are applying for and give you a list of the documents you need to supply.

Most application forms require you to provide:

  1.         Your personal details
  2.         Proof of English language proficiency. Luckily, they have four options for the kind of test they accept. These are: TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, C1 Advanced, Pearson PTE Academic.
  3.         Transcripts
  4.         The course(s) you are applying for
  5.         An outline of your work experience (if relevant).

Most universities charge a non-refundable application fee of around AUD$50 to $100 that must be incorporated with your application. A few universities waive this fee if the application is made online. Prior to sending your application, check your visa requirements online at the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) website to ensure you will meet all requirements for a student visa if your application is successful.

2. Have Your Application Processed

When the university receives your application it will be evaluated and you will be notified of the outcome. It might take close to a month (longer for postgraduate applications) before your application is processed.

3. Accept Your Offer

If your application is successful, you will get a letter of offer and an acceptance form. You should carefully read the letter of offer and check any conditions that may apply before accepting. You should meet these conditions before the university gives a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). You may have to pay tuition fees before your university gives a CoE.

4. Prepare For Takeoff

Since you have been accepted, the time has come to apply for your student visa. You can apply for it using either your letter of offer or your CoE, but at a point you have to provide a proof of your CoE before your visa is approved. You should buy your plane tickets, put together your Overseas Student Health Cover and secure an accommodation in Australia.

Your university will send you an admission package with information that will help you. This package may include information about your course and accommodation options, financial aids and details regarding orientation programs.  There you have it.
