Magic 8-Ball is a little Trillian plugin that mimics the behavior of the original Magic 8-Ball. Magic 8-Ball is designed to work with Trillian Pro 1.6.3, but it can work with any version of Trillian. Magic 8-Ball is a plugin that is installed in the plugins directory. Simply enable the plugin by going to the preferences menu, clicking on the plugin tab, and selecting the Magic 8-Ball checkbox. Magic 8-Ball is not a “magic” plugin. It is a very simply plugin with only a few rules. The plugin uses the “magic” plugin framework that is part of Trillian. You can use the “magic” routines to modify the plugin behavior. Magic 8-Ball is implemented as a simple dialog form. The dialog has a standard entry box, labeled “Input”, and a button, labeled “Ok”. If the user presses the button, the “magic” routines are called. If the user does not press the button, the plugin is exited. The plugin supports a number of standard Trillian “magic” functions. Automatic rotation, TwoDot, FourDot, ThreeDot, FiveDot, SixDot, EightDot, TwelveDot, EmptyDot, QuestioningDot, DreamDot, MontyHall: These functions cycle through a preset list of statements. Each statement is displayed in a separate box. The statements are displayed in the following format: Name: “I agree,” — Answer: No Name: “No,” — Answer: No Name: “I don’t know,” — Answer: No Name: “Please enter your answer” — Answer: No Name: “Nothing to say,” — Answer: No Name: “I disagree,” — Answer: No Name: “Yes,” — Answer: Yes Name: “Yes,” — Answer: Yes Name: “Keep the question,” — Answer: Yes Name: “Surprise me!” — Answer: Yes Name: “I think,” — Answer: Yes Name: “Naiveté,” — Answer: Yes Name: “I believe,” — Answer
