TOEFL means Test of English as a Foreign Language. It is the most widely recognised and accepted English Language test in the world. TOEFL is an important requirement to meet in order to study in an English-speaking country. TOEFL measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. This is done by evaluating your reading, speaking, listening and writing skills.
This is for people applying for higher education in an English speaking country. The test assesses your abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing –in less than three hours. Listening and speaking are the same for both tests but the subject matter of the Reading and Writing components differs depending on the test you take. The speaking section can be completed before or after the other section, depending on the test centre. Other sections are completed on the same day with no breaks in between them. Total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes
PTE stands for Pearson Test of English. It is one of the English language tests used for admission processing and immigration.
